Platinum Jubilee – Village Picnic

The KVA in conjunction with many other village organisations are excited to invite the whole village to join them to celebrate the Queen’s 70th Anniversary at a village picnic on the playing fields. Cross your fingers for the weather, bring along your blanket and picnic basket and enjoy some family fun. There will be music from Annie Martin, Mee & Mrs Robinson and Blowin’ Smoke. There will be Cricket, Football and Short Tennis Activities. Messy Church will have lots of crafting as well as the KSA and Playgroup bringing fun activities for all the family. Jon Hughes will be there with his Punch and Judy and Magic Acts, and Wren’s Birds of Prey will be bringing along some of their wonderful birds to look at. KVA will be offering tea, coffee and cake, served by the amazing ladies of the WI, as well as a glass of prosecco for the adults and an ice cream for the children.
All of this will be free of charge, however if you don’t want to “bring your own” Tubbs Turf will be setting up a BBQ selling Jubilee burgers, and the Village Hall Bar will also be open for sales. We look forward to a wonderful celebratory afternoon with friends and family and hope you can join us, and we would encourage everyone to dress in a red/white/blue theme.
